Endoscopic Sinus Surgery

Knowing What to Expect

Preparing for surgery can feel overwhelming or scary if you don’t know what to expect. You may have some unanswered questions and worries that make you feel this way. Knowing what to expect will help you feel less nervous and more in control.

Endoscopic Sinus Surgery is a surgical procedure using surgical telescopes, working through the nostril without incisions, to widen the natural openings connecting the sinuses to the inside of the nose.

When these sinuses become chronically infected and antibiotics cease to control symptoms, this surgery can be an important part of correcting the problem. There are 4 distinct sets of sinuses (maxillaries, ethmoids, frontals and sphenoids).

In some patients, all 4 sets need to be surgically opened on both sides, while in others only selected sinuses need the surgery. The price quoted here is for surgical correction of all four sets of sinuses on both sides. If you require less that that, the price will be lower than quoted here.
