A cervical epidural steroid injection is used to help ease pain caused by irritated spinal nerves. In the procedure, the injection is done in the epidural space …..
Spinal injections are done to help reduce pain and inflammation of the spine. Typically the injections are done in the facet joints of the spine. The facets are located at the top and bottom of each vertebra, and allow back movement.
The injections can target and relieve pain in the neck, lower back and legs. The treatments involve injecting corticosteriod and anesthetic medication into the facet joint, and are used when other treatments have not worked.
They are normally done as an outpatient procedure.
